the early days:

I started listening to music at early 10 years oldor before maybe 7 or 8, old tunes like twisted sister., quite riot, and ac/dc, 2 years after i got into a baseball team where my coach got me into DRI, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax. When i was 14 i got into skateboarding and a brand new whole world opened up in my life. A new style of music never heard before by myself, i was fast, melodic, not screaming at all as i used to hear on my old thrash and heavy metal tunes, it was punk rock! i got some 1985-1989 skate videos where they music was mostly punk rock. Althought i was a big fan of metallica, megadeath, dri, suicidal tendencies, anthrax,sepultura, iron maiden, i also liked heavy metal and glam bands like skid row, poison, guns and roses, slaugther, white lion, stryper, it was around 1990-91, in 1991 i got the firs the crucified disc where i got some hardcore stuff and punk rock music, in 1991 when my first skate days started a friend from washington got a minor threat cd!, i
was when all came together, a mixure of thrash, speed, heavy, but still melodic! punk rock, the music i was looking for since the early days by 1992 i had an entire like for music, and also skateboarding, which were my most satisfactory stuff to spend my money and time (and still are! )

In 1992 i got a video from H street skateboards, where i hear operation ivy for the first time, then i got some other videos with music from bad religion, the descendents, pennywise, early off spring too, black flag, minor threat


how do i got in bands?

i got in bands around 1991 or 92 i guess, with my cousin alfredo and some friends from his school, we used to get togheter and make a kind-of-band thing cuz we didnt have drums, the drum set were some old paintings cans! with some kitchen stix as drum stix! at this time i used to sang, we stared singing in english because this was the kind of music we were listening, we were completelty into metallica and anthrax!

after that in 1992 i got into some deathmetal, thrash metal project where i used to sing too, it was some kind like the first band cuz we had a drums set! and old home made amps! we didnt have any shows

the same year in 1992 i got an acoustic guitar from my cousin antonio, my other cousin alfredo who was into spanish and flamenco
guitar playing tought me some tricks at this times, which were really scales!

my first bass guitar!

this same year i got my firs bass guitar it was a maxton, a red one u can see it on the first and old domesticfool pix! this year i got in a school band covering some 90´s songs from metallica, motley crue and more, this same year we got a band together with alfredo (siroko) and leonel (malacates) we used to play some kinda happy trash thing that we didnt know what it really was, we were fans of metallica, anthrax, dri, megadeth, etc, this year we (leonel and me) used to go on saturdays to some community stuff where they let u play and do some kind of music with ur friends, there i know this guy who played the drums and his dad was takin pictures of him, iremember this guy used to do this double bomb drum part of one from metallica! jjejeej this was mako! iknow him in 1992

i guess it was the end of 1992 leonel left the band and our cousin sofia quezada (aeroe) joined the band! a 12 year old girl! yea
those sessions were incredible, covering a song that anthrax covered in the persistence of time album, "protest and survive" both alfredo and me sang it! it was amazin, we never did a show! only at reheral room with friends and other cousins and brothers, we star doing songs like reallity, dreaming awake, it was very fun, i didnt have a bass amp yet, it was an old phillips home system from the 70s that was at home and i just made this spacial cable to my bass! finally the speakers got broke! it was obiously, some time a friend of us named jose antonio, join the band, this guy had those guitar and bass fender amps! he was another fan of metallica! it was great i still have some demo taps, which some time will be avialable on mp3 to download... the band was named los perez because it was the main name of the family

chamarra shuca

the band didnt lasted that much time, we split in 1994, i mean the last rehersal it was in 1994 i guess, in 1994 actually december
i went to spain and got alot of music, this was the year whe we first got an mxpx album, yea the pokinatcha punx! the best punk album ever! its been one of my most inspirational records ever! i was there a couple months and in february or march 1995 i join alfredo among with some friends of his school steve and estuardo and we did chamarra shuca, i was a punk rock and hardcore band, covering minor threats step in stone and we did some songs too we did only one show at las cumbres high school, it was fun , we lost the time! theres a vhs of this show somewhere in my room!

where to go in life?

after we broke with chamarra shuca i guess in 1995 by octuber or something we got back with los perez and did some sessions again yea! thats right 1995 it was the year we split when that happened alfredo and i were lookin for a drummer, in that time i know
rene, he was workin at this local record shop, i was lookin for good bands and we started talkin about the damn fuckin scene in our country and the fucked up music those store was selling at this time when we were playing with los peres , sofias oldest brother had a friend who ran a studio named primera generacion and they wanted to listen to us so we got in a van she had at home and head to the studio and did a demo jam it was fun, it was the end of 1995, suddenly sofia dont wanted to play anymore, she was
a 14 year old! this time was when alfredo took his acoustic guitar and showed those guys at the studio what he was playing as a flamenco guitarrist too, that time opened the doors to him in his now succesiong jazz and flamenco guitar playing, look for him

the join of 2 bands?

so we didt had a drummer! alfredo caceres and me were lookin for ad rummer, and i friend who worked on that primera generacion studio contacted me cuz he wanted me to write and article about punk, so i did, i told him (luis urrutia he is a mexican) that we needed a drummer he told me " i know this guy who is onto punk rock and he is good" so i got his phone number and i called him. it was mako! i already knew this guy back in 1992, so he was playin with some guys he told me they were about to kick out his bass player, so come to our show and listen to us! i listen to some tunes he played on the phone and they rocked!

the firs domestic fool show!

did u guys know that i was in the crowd at the first show? hell yes! there was the first and last domesticfool show withthis bass player, i went and i say i wanna play with u guys!so by february 1996 we got to makos place and stard playin togheter

1996 domestic fool was my band

our first show , now alfredo and me on the band, with mako and rene too was at a local pussy fashion hippie cafe, named cafe the oro, it was like the first punk rock skate concerte ever, and we kick major ass! the cops came around and it was a total chaos! we rocked! alfredo left the band after 2 shows , he didt liked the style that much and he was gettin more into his flamenco playing and shchoool so i played with domestic fool from 1996 to 2001 when we broke up for some reasons that u should look for in the bio section

in june 2001 and one of our lastest shows, daniel and steve (the guy whom we did chamarra shuca in 1995 and long time skatebaording and punk rock friend of mine) among with gabriel herrera, came to me and told me to join their band
the band was a mxpx. pennywise like band, punk rock at 100%, at that time i was boring about domesticfool and the style or unstyle we got into and i was not satisfied with what we were doing and tired of fightning and getting nothing, so i joing jerk, it was the named of the band, which we changed by our frinds romeo batrez idea to enemy so enemy was me, steve, daniel and gabriel. we did several shows and did good, punk rockin around, we did a show in el salvador too. by december we split, we were about to record! fuck it!
by june 2003 we got together again but gabriel was not living here, he was just on vacation from his studies on arkansas or somewhere in the us, so we stared playing again and we didt have a vocalist! so i started singing the songs and steve got new songs and we did like 9 or 7 new songs! we only did one fuckin show! god damn it! that show was on january 2004 and then nothing happened with enemy.

domestic fool got back!!!!

one time i saw rene at a local mall, but he didt see me, so i started thinkin about what the fuck would happen if domestic got back? i always had this feeling about getting back and do music again so i rang him up and say hi what the fuck man how u doin and shit, so he told me to play again and i sayed why not and we did!

i didnt mention that in 2002 it was an attempt to get back but didnt work by march 2004 or february dont remember we got together as i said before the very first session we had this 2004 was the key! we did a new song that day, it was traffic! we played stan and tv
it was a wierd feeling and something stranged but incredible! we got back to the roots a fresh sound, unique quality and punk rocking all the way!
